The novel, out October 13, comes on the heels of Harrow’s 2019 breakout (and immensely compelling) debut, The Ten Thousand Doors of January, and draws on a similar tone of combining real history with the fantastical. It was done with a lot of 4:00 am and 6:00 am hours and chunks of time, desperately crammed into my bedroom towards the end of the deadline.
